We are fortunate to be able to hire good facilities for indoor and outdoor shooting.
We meet indoors during the winter months from September to May. We have use of a large sports hall where we are able to shoot a distance of 25 metres comfortably.
We meet outdoors from May to mid July when we have the use of the school playing field where we are able to shoot at least 70m.
There is no shooting during the Schools summer Holidays.
We shoot on Saturday mornings from 10.00am to 12.00.pm (members help with setup of targets from 9:45ish).
Beginner classes begin at 10.00am and last 1 hour.
Throughout the year we hold club competitions where members are encouraged to shoot a round of five to six dozen arrows. Scores are taken to enable members to obtain a classification and handicap under Archery GB Rules of Shooting.
Our indoor facilities allow members to shoot a distance of 25 metres safely so we commonly shoot the following rounds: Portsmouth, WAA25, WAA18, Bray1 and Bray 2.
Members are encouraged to participate in local tournaments but we also have members who prefer to just shoot for pleasure in the club.
During the year we hold workshops for the members covering maintenance of equipment and bow tuning.
Celyn Archers GNAS / Archery GB registered club colours:
UPPER BODY GARMENT: White. Club badge and archers name optional
LOWER GARMENT: Black.
We welcome beginners and run lessons throughout the year and we offer a high standard of instruction from very experienced qualified level 1 coaches.
We are also able to offer more advanced coaching to those archers in the club aspiring to Master Bowman and Welsh Team selection.
We have a County Coach with many years experience of coaching to this standard who was formerly a Grand Master Bowman for some years and a past British International archer.
We also have a level 2 Coach who has worked with archers of Master Bowman standard and has experience in developing personal fitness training programmes for archers who want to progress.

The club is based at Cardiff High School near Roath Park, Cardiff.
We meet at the Sports Hall or Field at the back of the School.
To find us enter the main School gates and keep following the road around the school keeping left all the time where there is a choice. You will end up at the back of the school with the playing field in front of you. If you progress up the road / path on foot towards the basket ball court you will find us in the Big sports hall on your right or field to left.
There is plenty of parking in the school grounds but it is best is to park in the playground to your right after passing through the big sliding gate between the two buildings and make you way on foot either via the route described above or by cutting through the covered alleyway at the back of the parking and following ALL the steps to the top where the hall will be on the right.
There is a bus stop outside Cardiff High School.
